The short version: you get a fixed quote, see your site before you pay the balance, and your domain is always yours. The details are below.
01What you're buying
RYTE (ABN 47 114 943 264) designs and builds websites, hosts and looks after them, and runs digital marketing for small businesses. Your written quote sets out exactly what's included — the pages, features and any monthly services. Accepting it means you agree to these terms.
Quotes are valid for 30 days. Anything not in your quote is priced separately, and we'll always ask before starting it.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply. Nothing here takes them away.
02Prices and payment
Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
- Website build: 50% deposit to start, and the balance once you've approved the finished site — before it goes live.
- Monthly services: hosting & care and marketing are billed monthly in advance, by card or direct debit.
- Late payments: if an invoice is more than 14 days overdue, we'll remind you, then we may pause work until it's sorted.
03Timing
Your quote includes an estimated timeline. While we build, you'll get a live preview link each week, so you always know where things are up to.
Timelines rely on getting your content and feedback on time. If we're waiting on something from you, the finish date moves by the same amount.
04Revisions
Two rounds of design revisions are included. For each round, send us one combined list of changes — wording, images, colours or layout within your agreed scope. It keeps things quick and nothing gets missed.
Extra rounds, new pages or new features are quoted before we do them.
05Approval and going live
When you're happy with the final preview, you approve it and pay the balance. We then connect your domain and put your site live.
Your domain stays registered in your name. You'll either give us access to its settings or add the records we send you — we'll walk you through it.
You see the real, working site before you pay the balance. No surprises.
06Refunds and cancellations
- Before work starts: we refund your deposit, less any costs already incurred.
- After work starts: you pay for the work done up to that point, and your deposit counts towards it.
If there's a major problem with our work that we can't fix, you're entitled to the remedies the Australian Consumer Law provides.
07Google rankings
We build every site to be found and we work hard on your marketing, but no one can honestly guarantee a #1 ranking, a set amount of traffic or a number of enquiries. Results also depend on your competition, your reviews, your Google Business Profile and time.
08Hosting & care
Your website is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in our account, and we look after it for $59 per month. That covers:
- secure hosting and an SSL certificate (the padlock)
- security updates and monitoring
- regular backups
- small content updates, as listed in your plan
No host can promise 100% uptime, but if something goes wrong we'll fix it as fast as we reasonably can.
09Your content and ownership
You send us your logo, photos and text, and you confirm you're allowed to use them. If you need photos, we'll use properly licensed stock images.
Your domain is always yours. Once you've paid in full, your website's content and design are yours too. Fonts, stock images and plugins stay under their own licences, and any tools we already owned stay ours — you can keep using them on your site.
Want to move your site elsewhere? Give us 30 days' notice and, once your account is paid up, we'll hand over a complete copy of your website files within 10 business days.
10Marketing
- SEO, Google & Meta Ads, social media and email marketing are monthly services, with a 3‑month minimum, then month to month.
- You can cancel with 30 days' notice.
- Ad spend — what Google or Meta charge for your ads — is separate from our fee and paid by you directly to the platform.
- You'll get a simple monthly report showing what we did and how it's going.
11The legal bits
- Other services: your site relies on companies like your domain registrar, AWS, Google and Meta. Their terms apply and we can't control their outages, but we'll help you work around them.
- Privacy: we keep your business information confidential and handle personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.
- Liability: as far as the law allows, our liability is limited to supplying the services again or paying for them to be supplied again. We're not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits.
- Changes: we may update these terms. Projects already underway stay on the terms you accepted.
- Law: these terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
